"The original intention of GO RER was to improve frequency of service and speed GO up - The 3-stop extension of the Bloor-Danforth subway line would have provided a significant improvement in service for Scarborough - The added SmartTrack stations to the GO lines will slow GO down for all passengers travelling north of the new stations; and the omission of the 2 subway stops negates any improvement that the 3-stop subway extension would have provided"
