Oshawa GO Station

The Project

We are modernizing the Oshawa GO/VIA Station to make it more convenient for customers to take transit while accommodating the growing demand at one of our busiest stations.

The new station building will be accessible and has been designed to achieve a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

The new station building at Oshawa GO/VIA Station will also include:

GO and VIA ticket sales and waiting areas
expanded public and staff washrooms
service update monitors
schedule status
vending and ATM machines
VIA baggage handling area
canopy between the new building and the VIA pedestrian bridge

The existing building will remain in service during construction and will be demolished once the new building is operational.

Modifications to the kiss and ride and parking lot will also make it easier for drivers and pedestrians to enter and exit the station.

The new station building is scheduled to open in mid-2017 with the project as whole wrapping up late that year.

Additional parking spaces are available off Bloor Street, approximately 200 metres west of the main GO parking lot. The location of the new lot in shown on the map below.
