Maple GO Station

The Project

Pedestrian Tunnels & Parking Relocation

Metrolinx is transforming Maple GO Station to bring you more parking and faster, more frequent service. We'll first install two tunnels under the track, to support the future construction of the second track and platform at your station. A second platform and track are required before trains can travel in both directions on this portion of the Barrie line.

Construction is starting soon and there will be impacts that may affect your daily commute. Some parking spaces will be restricted, but we will have offsite parking available to make up for the parking loss. Once the construction is complete in 2017, parking spots will be returned to use and the offsite parking will remain open. We’ll post updates at the station and online as to the location of the restricted parking spots and the offsite parking lot.

You may have heard that more parking is coming to your station! We are building a parking structure with 1,200 new spots, and construction will start following detailed design and procurement.

We know that construction can be inconvenient, but significant increase in service can only be delivered by making significant changes to the station. We are working hard to get it done as quickly as possible.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Construction begins and parking spaces relocated to Rodinea Road

Metrolinx is transforming Maple GO Station to bring you more parking and faster, more frequent service. We'll first install two tunnels under the track, in preparation for the future construction of the second track and platform at your station.

What to expect

Minimal parking spaces will be closed for construction. Once construction is complete, these parking spaces will re-open.

We understand that construction can be inconvenient, and parking at your station is already constrained, so we made sure we had additional parking in place during construction.

And you'll be happy to know the new parking lot will remain open once construction is complete!

Offsite parking available:

We have leased 150 parking spaces on Rodinea Road, off McNaughton Road - Please follow the signs to access the lot
