Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension – Highway 407 Bus Terminal

Number of stations: 1 bus terminal (6 subway stations are being built with funds provided by the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, the City of Toronto, and the Regional Municipality of York)

Route length: 8.6 kilometres of additional subway route on western portion of Line 1 (University Subway)

Major transit connections: Brampton Transit, York Region Transit/vivaNext, GO Transit bus services

Completion date: 2017


A portion of the extension will run through Toronto from the Downsview TTC subway station to Steeles Avenue, crossing into York Region and terminating at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Metrolinx is working with the TTC to build a bus terminal that will be serviced by the GO Transit and York Region Transit at the Highway 407 TTC subway station. Once completed, the bus terminal will be owned by Metrolinx.
