Hi All - I revised my plan for an elevated rapid transit line serving Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and Durham Region to an LRT (MBTD LRT), but; I was not satisfied that an LRT will do the job, so I have decided to make it an Express LRT with limited stops instead – The line will have at least one stop in each community and connect with every major rapid transit line along its route - This will increase the average speed significantly and should be enough to accommodate the distances required - I am calling it MBTD Express LRT

The first phases of the lines will interconnect with the following:
- Meadowvale GO
- Hurontario LRT
- Brampton Züm BRT (3)
- Pearson Airport, UP Express, and SmartTrack LRT
- Weston GO
- Jane LRT or Beltline Subway
- Toronto-York Spadina Subway
- Yonge Street Subway
- Don Mills (Relief Line) Subway
- Lawrence GO/SmartTrack
- McCowan Road (Scarborough) Subway
- Markham Road LRT
- Crosstown East LRT
- Sheppard LRT or BRT
- Pickering GO

The line can eventually be extended east to Oshawa and Clarington/Bowmanville, and west to Milton

Hi All - Due to much resistance (and some very valid points) I have revised my plan for an elevated rapid transit line for connecting Mississauga and Brampton with Toronto Pearson Airport, Toronto, and all of the major centres in Durham Region to an LRT – I am calling it MBTD LRT - I would still like to see something faster than a standard LRT due to the distances involved, but; here is my latest plan for now

The 3rd draft of Phase IV of my SmarterTracks plan for Scarborough included the following:
- An LRT between Ellesmere GO and UTSC connecting with Scarborough Town Centre, Scarborough Centre, and Rouge Valley/Centenary Hospital
- An elevated rapid transit line [Monorail or HERT (High-capacity elevated rapid transit)] along Lawrence Avenue East and Kingston Road between Lawrence GO and Highway 2 at Sheppard and Kingston Road

Due to much resistance (and some very valid commentary) this 4th draft replaces the elevated rapid transit line with an LRT - This revision also adds a bypass track along Ellesmere to allow LRT trains to bypass STC and the Scarborough Centre Subway Station if necessary
