The City of Toronto is advancing the Eglinton East LRT to support the transit priorities for Scarborough, provide local connections and support the development of complete communities - The Eglinton East LRT extends the Eglinton Crosstown LRT from Kennedy Station to Kingston Road, Morningside Ave and the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus

"Without the Crosstown East LRT, local transit in Scarborough will be reduced to less than what residents have now"

"This map shows the Crosstown East LRT which is an extension of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT - The cost is expected to be about $1 billion (but will likely be somewhat more than that) - John Tory threw it out as a bone to throw us off the track for the two Scarborough Subway Extension stops cancelled so that he could justify his stupid SmartTrack - I support the idea of the Crosstown East but I would rather see SmartTrack scrapped in favor of restoring the two cancelled subway stops - Cancellation of SmartTrack would build the two subway stops, the Crosstown East LRT, and still leave about $1 billion to put towards the Relief Line Subway"
