The Eglinton LRT should have been a subway!

"The Eglinton LRT should have been a subway! - When the Eglinton Crosstown LRT is completed and operational; everyone will realize that it should have been a subway
- The current traffic and density justify it
- It would have enhanced future development more so that the LRT
- Buses will still be required along all LRT routes due to the long distances (400 to 1000 m) between LRT stops; only now, the buses will be sharing the one or two remaining lanes with other vehicular traffic
- The cost difference between LRTs and Subways has been exaggerated – The Crosstown LRT is running at $383 million/km – A subway would have been $400 million/km"
