SmarterTracks - Phases Highlighted
Hi All – This subpage includes PDFs of maps highlighting the progression of the various phases of the first draft of my ten phase SmarterTracks plan for transit in Scarborough – The second draft of my plan omitted the proposed subway station at Danforth Road and Eglinton Avenue E., and routed the Scarborough Extension of the Bloor/Danforth (Line 2) Subway Line on a diagonal directly from Kennedy and Eglinton to McCowan Road and Lawrence Avenue before turning north to Scarborough Centre
I have completed the third draft of Phase I - The third draft reinstates the proposed subway station at Danforth Road and Eglinton Avenue E. - Regardless of whether these stations are ever built or not, I believe they should be included and will show them regardless of what the city actually does end up doing

The revised subway route was based on input from my social media friend, Joseph Chemerys, who had enlightening me on the benefits of running subways diagonally on a rectangular road and bus route grid - I have since reinstated the subway station at Danforth Road and Eglinton Avenue E. - See the 3rd draft of my plan
